NEK Veterinary Services: For the Love of Pets

As a pet owner, one of the first decisions you’ll make is choosing a veterinarian. Regular veterinary care is key to your pet enjoying a long, healthy lifespan. If you live in the Hiawatha or the surrounding area, bring your pet to NEK Veterinary Services for high quality care. Our full service animal hospital is the perfect choice to meet your feline or canine’s medical needs. Our team also treats birds, rabbits, small farm animals, reptiles, and other exotic pets.

Getting to Know Us

At NEK Veterinary Services, you’ll work with a team of highly skilled veterinarians specializing in different areas of the profession. This gives us an edge in treating all manner of pet conditions and diseases. We work with animals large and small, providing each with the personal attention and care they need. Like people, we believe pets are important members of your family. As such, they should be treated with patience, kindness, and understanding. Our professional, conscientious care will win your confidence and trust.

Services We Provide

Wellness exams are the backbone of your pet’s veterinary care. Our wellness program offers such preventative care measures a physical exam, dental exam, vaccinations, parasite control, and spay/neuter procedures to help keep your pet in the best of health. Routine preventative care enables our team to detect, diagnose, and treat diseases in their early stages before they become major health concerns in your pet’s life. Whether you’re bringing your pet in for a checkup or dental surgery, our animal hospital has the resources to meet his healthcare needs.

When you own a pet, there’s always the risk that your animal will come down with an unexpected illness or injury. You can’t predict when accidents will happen, but you can be prepared by having a place to take your pet for emergency or urgent care. At NEK Veterinary Services, we have a qualified veterinarian on duty 6 days a week to handle emergencies or urgent care. If your pet is hit by a car, ingests poison, or comes down with a sudden illness, call us to arrange for immediate treatment.

If your pet needs medications for treating an illness or to manage pain from an injury, we maintain a full pharmacy that can provide the medications you need. You can even order medications online to save time and money.

In between healthcare visits, you can bring your pet in for professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. We also provide boarding services to keep your pet safe and sound when you’re not around.
